From Golden Town Centre

Drive northwest out of Golden on the Trans-Canada Highway 1.

From the final traffic light on the west side of town, drive 9.7 km and turn right on Moberly Branch Road.

Follow Moberly Branch Road 2.5 km to its end at a T-junction with Golden Donald Upper Road.

Turn right on Golden Donald Upper Road. The driveway is on the left, 80 metres past the T-junction.

The house is marked with the address 1678 and a pair of skis on a tree.

Check-In

Arrival & Departure

Check-in opens at 4:00 PM on Friday, July 24. Entry is via self check-in with a keypad — access code will be shared closer to the date.

Checkout is by 11:00 AM on Monday, July 27.

Saturday Morning

Getting to Rafting

We're doing the Tradition Class II–IV+ Rafting Tour with Wild Water Adventures on the Kicking Horse River — about 2.5–3 hours on the water covering 22 km, finishing with a gourmet BBQ lunch.

âš    We need to be at the river base by 8:30 AM Saturday. Make sure you've already eaten breakfast before you leave — grab something in Golden on the way.

Wild Water Adventures — River Base

45 minutes west of Lake Louise along the Trans-Canada Highway 1.

The tour wraps up around 1:45 PM, with gourmet BBQ lunch included at the river base before heading back.

What they provide: All safety equipment — wetsuit, booties, fleece sweater, spray jacket, lifejacket, helmet, and gloves. You just need to show up in your swimsuit. See the What to Bring page for rafting-specific packing tips.
